Yesterday, In Anambra State Nigeria, the Obianos tenure ended embarrassingly. Both Ebelechukwu and Willie Obiano were served a farewell slap each.

I cannot say which hit harder but we know for sure that both slaps were hot. Since the shameful outing of the ex-governor of Anambra and his wife, the Obianos have been the internet sensation.

Not many people, however, know what really transpired at the newly sworn-in governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Soludo’s inauguration. We have therefore deemed it fit to explain why the Obiano’s received farewell slaps.

Case 1: Ebelechukwu Obiano VS Bianca Ojukwu

Bianca slaps Obiano Ebelechukwu

Contrary to the claim that the ex-governor of Anambra’s wife, Ebelechukwu obiano slapped Bianca Ojukwu, the widow of late Odumegwu Ojukwu, a report by PREMIUM TIMES premised on a viral video from the scene says the opposite.

But here is the BACKSTORY to the face-off between the two women leaders.

Why Bianca Slapped Obiano Ebelechukwu

Sources revealed that Bianca Ojukwu had strongly despised the administration of Governor Willie Obiano throughout his eight years tenure.

Corollary, Ebelechukwu had nursed a great contempt for Bianca. Angered by her presence at the occasion of her husband’s farewell and inauguration of Prof Soludo, the new governor of the state, the ex-first lady walked to where Bianca was seated and engaged Bianca in a war of words.

Hit by the words, Bianca responded with her palms and landed a hot slap on Mrs Obiano’s face.

Meanwhile, just before the inauguration of the new governor, Mrs Ojukwu wrote on her Facebook page: “A new dawn…17 March 2022. It’s liberation day, and today we sing the Redemption song. Anambra will be better.”

Case 2: Willie Obiano VS EFCC

Barely had the inauguration ceremony of Prof Charles Soludo where his wife and Mrs Ojukwu Bianca fought dirty that the EFCC landed another slap on Willie Obiano.

According to reports, the ex-governor Obiano was arrested by the EFCC in Lagos Airport while trying to flee the country.

Here is the full gist.

Obiano Willie, Ex-Governor of Anambra State

Governor Obiano Allegedly Stole N4 billion from Anambra Treasury

Reeling from the bank documents and evidence seen so far, Governor Willie Obiano withdrew the sum of N4 billion from Anambra state’s security vote account on the same day, Peoples Gazette reports.

Mr Obiano had on March 29, 2017, withdrawn the sum of N500 million from eight different Fidelity Bank accounts (5110032568, 5110032599, 5110032551, 5110032544, 5110032582, 5110032575) at a Fidelity Bank branch located at No 5, Akah Street, Umueze Village, Amawbia, Anambra. The said accounts bear the same name ‘Anambra State Security Votes.’

Given the above, one cannot but wonder how the fund was spent, considering the security crises that have ravaged the state in recent times.
