After being held up by their opposition to the final day of the campaign, Diego Someone’s men have been crowned the champions of the league by their 2-0 win against Real Valladolid.
Though it was not easy for the Athletico’s men because they conceded a goal in the first half, they had to redeem their image by scoring two goals in the second half of the final match, thanks to Angel Correa and the veteran striker, Luiz Suarez.
Suarez, who was released by Barcelona at the start of the campaign, scored his 21st La Liga at the final match against the Real Valladolid men.
Real Madrid also won their clash with Villarreal, though they struggled at the final 45 minutes for they conceded a goal in the first half too.

However, all their efforts went in vain as Athletico Madrid have been crowned the champions of Spain for the 11th time owing to their trilling win on the dramatic final day.
