President Muhammadu Buhari has on Thursday appointed a new Chief Of Army Staff to succeed late Athahiru Ibrahim.
Major- General Farouk Yahaya was, in a statement signed and released by the military spokesperson, Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu announced as the new Chief of Army State.
Before his appointment as new Chief of Army Staff, Major General Farouk Yahaya was the General Officer Commanding 1 Division of the Nigerian Army and the incumbent Theatre Commander of the Counter-terrorism Counter-insurgency military outfit in the North East code named Operation HADIN KAI.
