It is no longer news that the anticipated ‘Aki and Pawpaw‘ classic remake’s premiere is today, December 13.
The comedy directed by Biodun Stephen is about two mischievous brothers, Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme popularly called Aki and Pawpaw who try to make a life for themselves and coincidentally became famous since destiny changed their story in 2002, following the success of ‘Aki Na Ukwa’.
Aki na Ukwa is undisputedly one of the Nollywood films that marked the formative years of many Nigerians. They stole our hearts with rib cracking comedies that enjoyed massive patronage.
The screen twins are celebrated actors because of their enviable talents on stage. More specifically, Nigerians are found of the duo for their complimentary roles in the Nollywood comedy which has kept them laughing out loud over the years.
In the mean time, Aki and Pawpaw have been the social media sensation as Nigerians are notoriously creating memes that captures different situations and emotions from the scenes that were acted by Aki and Pawpaw.
So, what should you be expecting from the ‘Aki and Pawpaw‘ classic remake?
With several memes from the previous movies of Aki and Pawpaw, expect a nostalgic experience of the mischievous brothers as it re-introduces rib cracking acts that will make you throw your morals in the dustbin.
Also, a talented cast of Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, Anita Asuoha (Real Warri Pikin), MC lively, Chioma Okafor, Stan Nze, Hanks Anuku and many besides are featured in the classic remake.
