Some Analyst’s Views on Owo Church Massacre
Some analysts have said one or two things about the Owo church massacre.
A popular human rights lawyer, Ebun-olu Adegboruwa has supposed that the attack could be a reaction to the stance of Ondo State governor on open grazing, restructuring and power rotation.
“Owo being the hometown of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, I pray that this dastardly act has nothing to do with his principled stand on national issues such as restructuring, resource control, power rotation, restriction on open grazing and state police.
“The governor has been at the forefront of the implementation of the regional security outfit, Amotekun, which has been hugely successful in crime reduction. I urge him not to relent in any of these noble pursuits, if that is the genuine desire of the people that he represents.”
Governor Akeredolu Speaks on Owo Church Attack
The Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Akeredolu has also spoken about the deadly incident that left some members of St Francis Catholic Church in Owo to drown in their own blood.

In a series of tweets, the executive Governor of the state expressed sorrow over the loss of the people of his state.
He described the experience as a “vile and satanic attack (that) as well calculated assault on the peace-loving people of the Owo Kingdom who have enjoyed relative peace over the years.“
Going further, the Governor Akeredolu promised to go after the perpetrators and avenge the death of the late worshippers.
