Sequel to a statement from Aso Villa that reveals the president’s plan to depart Abuja for Paris to attend an Africa Finance Summit and thereafter visit his doctors, Reno Omokri, a popular socio-political critic and former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan has sought the opinions of Nigerians on whether or not he should travel to France and harass President Muhammadu Buhari out of Paris.
The statement partly read, “President Muhammadu Buhari will on Sunday, May 16, 2021, depart Abuja for Paris, France, on a four-day official visit to attend African Finance Summit which will be focused on reviewing African economy, following shocks from Coronavirus pandemic, and getting relief, especially from increased debt burden on countries.”
The summit which will be hosted by President Emmanuel Macron, will draw major stakeholders in the global financial institutions and some Heads of Government, who will, collectively, discuss external funding and debt treatment for Africa, and private sector reforms.

It is learnt that during the visit, President Buhari will meet with the French President to discuss growing security threats in Sahel and Lake Chad region, political relations, economic ties, climate change and partnership in buoying the health sector, particularly in checking the spread of Covid-19, with more research and vaccines.
The President will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, Minister of Trade and Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, and Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire and others.
Sahara Reporters had, however, in an exclusive report on Wednesday, revealed that President Buhari would be in Paris for about 4 days after where he has also been scheduled to meet his doctors. http://saharareporters.com/2021/05/12/buhari-meet-his-doctor-during-official-trip-paris-saturday
It is on this premise that Reno Omokri, on social media said, “Dear Nigerians, I hear Muhammadu Buhari wants to cleverly see his doctors in Paris while pretending to attend the African Finance Submit. Should I go to Paris to #HarassBuhariOutofParis?”
Recall that Reno alongside other Nigerians placed Buhari under house arrest from March 30 – April 6, 2021 when he was in London for a routine medical check up.
