Nigeria has finally been guaranteed a medal in the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
This follows the qualification of Nigeria wrestler, Blessing Oborodudu, who secured a place in the final after a 7-2 win against Soronzobold of Mongolia in the 68kg wrestling event.

The Bayelsa-born wrestler had fought Mareem in a hard 3-2 wrestling to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Blessing is an African wrestling legend who has won a plethora of medals for herself and her country in the past.

She won a gold medal at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in the 68 kg women’s freestyle wrestling event, defeating Canada’s Danielle Lappage, and she will hope to achieve a similar feat in Tokyo.
