#Tokyo2020: Oyo-born athlete, Adegoke breaks 25 years record, takes Nigeria to 100M finals

Nigerian sprint star, Enoch Adegoke has qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics 100M race finals.

Naija Banquet recalls that Nigeria last qualified for Olympics 100M finals at Atlanta in 1996 via Davidson Ezenwa.

The Oyo/Igbeti-born athlete clocked an impressive 10:00s in heat 2 of the men’s semi-finals. Enoch had earlier returned a time of 9.98s quarter-finals.

With the results, Adegoke would be competing alongside Su Bingtian of China, Ronnie Baker of the United States, Marcella Jacobs of Italy and Zharnel Hughes of Great Britain in the finals.
