UI Mathematics Student Graduates with 3.87/4.0 CGPA, Receives Multiple Awards

Temitope Victor Oyedeji, a student of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science, University of Ibadan has emerged as the best graduating student with a 3.87/40 CGPA in his Faculty.

Victor, in a lengthy post on social media recounts his success story. He shared the pictures of himself and the awards he received having achieved a great feat.

The awards he received include:

  • Best Graduating Student in Mathematics
  • Best Graduating student in Faculty of Science
  • JCIN FOPA Award for the Most Outstanding Student in Academics
  • National Outstanding Mathematics Student of the Year (SNEAWARDS)
  • Best Sportsman of the Year Award, NAMSS UI

It is also amazing to know that apart from being a bookworm, Mr Temitope also involved himself in extra-curricular activities. For instance, he played in the Mathematics and Faculty of Science Football Teams.

He also served as Academic Director of Foursquare Students Fellowship and Faculty of Science Students’ Association in 2017/2028 and 2020/2021 academic sessions respectively.

All of these commitments earned Victor multiple recognition from his Department, Faculty, Hall of Residence, plus a special recognition from Former Vice Chancellor, Professor Abel Olayinka for assisting in the Peer Assisted Study Scheme for freshmen in the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 academic sessions.
